I charge a rate of EUR 40 per hour plus German VAT. The amount of time needed for each project depends not only on the size of the text but also on the following factors:

• Area of expertise and difficulty level
• Target audience: An internal communication for information only is translated or edited faster than a creative and catchy marketing text that contains puns and stirring slogans.
• Formatting issues: If extra time is needed to either convert your files into an editable format or to mimic the layout, a small surcharge applies.
• Deadline: I do work in the evenings and on the weekends but this involves a surcharge of 20%.

• Do you have examples of relevant terminology at your disposal?
• Does your text contain a lot of repetitions?
